Customize Your Training Simulation

A single cybersecurity breach can cost millions in costly downtime, and reputational damage. The more sensitive the data and the larger the team, the greater the impact.

Immersive Cyber Range simulations are customized to replicate an organization’s real-world digital network and toolset in an isolated, air-gapped environment. PDI’s expert instructors create crisis scripts based on each client’s cyber risk profile and conduct sessions using cutting-edge technology for cybersecurity testing, planning, and training.

Train With the Latest Technologies

To enable real-time, experiential simulations, the Cyber Range is equipped with cutting-edge technology and assets for cybersecurity testing, planning, and training, including:

  • Technologies for creating an exact clone of an organization’s network and operational resources
  • 30 iMac workstations for training and simulations
  • RHEA Group’s Cyber Integration, Test, and Evaluation Framework (CITEF™) for technical simulations
  • A diverse scenario library that can be accessed online and in person

Develop Hands-On Experience

The realistic Cyber Range simulation environment provides cyber practitioners and management teams with hands-on experience managing a cyber crisis to protect sensitive data and systems.

During half-day to two-day scenarios, participants assume roles to take part in the facilitated exercise. They sit at fully functional workstations with email, chat, and access to a virtual network of servers and endpoints that emulate their own corporate environments. Instructors inject attack scenarios in real-time, complete with live malware, DDoS attacks, hostile media enquiries, dynamic surprises, and real-time decision-making. As simulations unfold, instructors guide events on the fly and record every team reaction for discussion and analysis.

Train in a Unique Environment

The uOttawa Cyber Range is an immersive platform tied directly to industry needs for on-the-ground professional development in practical knowledge, skills, and abilities. It is the only IBM Cyber Range co-created with an academic partner and the only university-affiliated IBM Cyber Range open to all public- and private-sector organizations.

The Cyber Range is part of a complete approach to InfoSec training at PDI’s InfoSec Center of Excellence, which includes the:

Apply Skills Immediately

The immersive Cyber Range environmental training provides a far more rewarding way to learn than static labs. Participants see how their plans fail or succeed under real pressure, build cross-functional coordination, and discover overlooked gaps — insights that cannot be delivered through lectures or tabletop exercises.

After completing a Cyber Range training simulation, participants and teams return to work better prepared for real incidents — technically and in communications — because each simulation mirrors the complexity of real-world operations environments. Skills learned in the Cyber Range can be directly applied to enhance cybersecurity policies, procedures, tactics, and strategies at both the technology and business management level.
