What are your business hours?

We are open 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

How do I register online for courses?

Select the offering you wish to register for from the 'Sessions' section on the course page. Create a client account and go through the registration process by providing the requested information. Once your online registration is complete, you’ll shortly receive the official confirmation of your registration by e-mail. If this is not the case, please contact us at 613-562-5802 or by email at [email protected].

Do course participants have homework?

Some instructors hand out exercises to be completed during class time or at home to help you develop your new skills. These exercises, like other coursework, are not graded.

Are there any course prerequisites?

Most of our courses have no prerequisites. If a course has a prerequisite, it is clearly indicated at the top of the course page on our website.

What should I bring to the course?

Bring writing material: a pen, a pencil, paper, a notepad… whatever you prefer! For most of our courses, we provide a workbook for each participant.

How can I get to my course?

Public transportation

The Desmarais Building is near to the OC Transpo Campus LRT Station. If your course is held at a different off-campus location, the public transportation information is included in your registration confirmation.

Cycling

Cycling is one of the best ways to commute to and from the University of Ottawa. Once you arrive on campus, the University provides bike racks throughout the campus, which you can find on the campus bike parking map at Interactive campus map | Maps | University of Ottawa (uottawa.ca).

Personal vehicle (paid parking)

There are several paid parking options near our course locations. If your course is held at the Desmarais Building, you may park at the Brooks Garage ($17.50/day), the Rideau Centre parking garage ($20.00/day) or the Desmarais Building underground parking garage ($5.50/hour, no maximum)

Is there anything else I need to know about my training session?

• Light refreshments are available on the 12th floor of the Desmarais building.
• Full day courses include a one-hour lunch break along with morning and afternoon breaks.
• Lunch is not provided unless otherwise mentioned.
