Description

This course provides the basics that new and experienced developers need to know to start coding with Ruby. Participants will learn to utilize the Ruby testing framework to help developers be more productive, write better code, and reduce bugs during development.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course the participant will be able to:
  • Utilize the Ruby testing framework that can help developers be more productive, write better code, and reduce bugs during development;
  • Use Ruby to define custom methods with loops and conditional logic;
  • Demonstrate how ActiveRecord is used to create, update, and retrieve data in a relational database;
  • Install and use the Rails Framework.
