Description

Participants will learn the considerations for use of open-source software and the licensing requirements/considerations in an enterprise environment. Participants will also learn basic Linux administration including choosing a distribution, installation, command line interface and file management They will build a basic knowledge of Linux administration through use of the Linux virtual machine.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course the participant will be able to:
  • Apply considerations for choosing an operating system;
  • Execute basic Linux command line skills;
  • Use help commands and navigate help systems;
  • Work with Linux files and directories;
  • Search and extract data from Linux files.
