Description

Change is a fact of life in organizations today. It can be difficult, and people often resist it. But to develop a flexible workplace culture, organizations should follow a systematic approach to managing major change.

Organizational change management is about changing the way people work. It is an upsetting time for people as it introduces uncertainty. Introducing and managing organizational change presents challenges for the people and teams who need leadership, support and guidance. Successful organizational change management requires an inclusive, open-minded process for decision making including a communications strategy for engaging stakeholders and managing expectations.

Organizations that are serious about organizational change management should develop a communication plan, a road map for change, sponsors, integrated training programs and a plan for dealing with resistance.
