PDI Spotlight Series | Making it Work for Everyone: Human Rights in Action

Event Overview

What if the goals you set for your life and family were more connected to human rights than you think?

This engaging session invites you to uncover the profound connection that links between personal priorities and fundamental human rights and to explore the often overlooked disconnect between what matters to individuals and what drives public institutions and organizations. Grounded in global data, it reveals how aligning with human rights can lead to stronger outcomes, from greater prosperity and security to improved well-being.

You’ll also be introduced to key universal human rights principles and ideas, brought to life through several examples from Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men. Discover how bias is embedded in everyday systems and professional practices, and how you can play a role in challenging it.

Walk away with fresh insights and a practical lens to start identifying and addressing inequities in your own work and daily life.
