Description

Team dynamics often become most visible when teams face challenges together. Shared Challenge, Shared Insight: Lessons from an Escape Room is designed for organizational teams, their leaders, and managers who want practical insight into how their teams communicate, collaborate, and solve problems — and how everyone contributes to team success.

In this experiential, facilitated workshop, participants work together to complete an escape room challenge, followed by a structured debrief that links the experience directly to real workplace situations. Teams identify communication patterns, recognize collaboration strengths and blind spots, and analyze their team dynamics to reflect on how these insights can improve both individual and team performance.

Offered in person, virtually, or at your preferred location, this session combines hands-on problem-solving with guided reflection. By the end of the workshop, participants leave with practical strategies for leveraging strengths and addressing challenges, along with a shared understanding of how their team functions in real situations.

For organizations looking for a team development experience that delivers meaningful insight and practical value, this workshop offers a focused and effective starting point.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course the participant will be able to:
  • Describe core teamwork behaviours and interactions observed during the escape room activity
  • Identify team communication patterns and collaboration strengths
  • Analyze team dynamics to recognize potential areas for growth
  • Propose strategies for leveraging strengths and addressing challenges in teamwork

“I was apprehensive of this workshop because these types of team building sessions are often ‘meh’, but this was really useful and I took so many notes to take away and implement with the team in our daily work.”

“This was such a great workshop. I had so many team members talk to me after our session and tell me how surprised they were with how much they enjoyed the experience and took something away from it. Having worked with the 3C team in a previous organization, I knew they were great. I’m so happy to see others on my new team felt the same way.”
