Psychedelics, Politics & Harm Reduction is a uOttawa faculty-led course that will review of the criminalization of use, possession, and trafficking of substances in Canada and globally. It will provide a history of drug policies and their origins. A study of harm-reduction approaches and
differentiation among substances on the basis of public health, with an emphasis on human rights and social concerns. examines the ritual and spiritual uses of entheogens throughout human history as well as the contemporary use and therapeutic potential of psychedelics.
