Project Communication: Driving Integration and Boosting Results
12 PDUs
Effective communication can increase executive support, build a sense of purpose and ensure project team focus. Most projects produce a lot of information, and there is a real danger of overwhelming our stakeholders. However, well-thought-out, targeted communication can hone our approach.
This workshop will feature a two-pronged approach to building effective communication. First, we will explore and determine the timing and content of communication required by stakeholders to stay informed and make decisions. Second, we will determine our communication style and practise dealing with challenging communication typical of a project environment, while acquiring the tools and templates to streamline project communication exchanges.
Prerequisites: none
This workshop is recognized by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® and as such will provide 12 PDUs (Professional Development Units) / contact hours towards attaining or maintaining the Project Management Professional (PMP)® designation.
Professional Development Units are allocated according to the number of training hours completed by the student and may be granted by increments of 0.25 PDU for each 15 minutes of training. A participation certificate will be given to students who attend a minimum of 90% of the course.
