This course targets individuals who need to develop their skills further in order to pass Level B of the Public Service Test of Oral Proficiency (TOP).
The course focuses on improving skills and perfecting the required speech functions. It is expected that those registering for the course already have a fairly good knowledge of French.
The course will go over effective oral comprehension and expression using specific strategies and techniques, pronunciation and how to structure fluidity of ideas. It will also review grammar and vocabulary related to the Level B test. In-class practice and skills assessments will help you absorb content and equip you with the necessary tools for success.

Genka Lessiguerska Vidénov, M.A., holds a Masters degree in International Relations and a Bachelor degree in Lettres françaises and Political Sciences from the Universities of Ottawa and Sherbrooke. She has a broad experience as an adult French teacher, mostly linked to different second language learning programs at Public Works and Government Services Canada. She also taught in the Medias and Communication fields at the college level.
