Digital whiteboards (MS Whiteboard, Zoom Whiteboard, Google Jamboard, Miro, etc.) are wonderful tools to support collaboration activities. These applications are now at your fingertips and easy to implement. Would you like to use them but are not sure how to start? Perhaps you have tried to use a whiteboard but quickly felt overwhelmed? Are you looking for tips and tricks to master this application? By understanding both the functionality of the software, and the different stages of group dynamics, you can plan and implement a stronger process to support your team in a collaborative session.
In this hands-on course, we will use a variety of templates included with these virtual tools. Through class exercises, we will progress from divergent brainstorming, to the grouping/categorizing of ideas, to then finish with the prioritization and selection of best alternatives. As we progress through the different types of group activities, we will implement appropriate templates and techniques tailored for each situation.
