Its purpose is to review and reinforce previously acquired essential grammatical structures and vocabulary. If you have already studied French but feel somewhat “rusty”, this workshop will help you to refresh your memory and gain confidence writing in French.
The focus of the workshop is on functional language usage. A dynamic, communicative approach will be used with an emphasis on realistic and meaningful life situations. The language of instruction is French.

This workshop is the result of a long-standing collaboration between Johanne Blais and Catherine Mareschal.
Johanne Blais, M.A., has solid experience in teaching French as a second language, grammar, and writing skills in a variety of institutions (universities, colleges, Crown corporations, federal Ministries). Johanne delivers on-site training for the program French Writing Skills for Anglophones, as well as for the workshops Les anglicismes and Apprivoiser les règles du participe passé for Francophones.
Catherine Mareschal, Ph.D., similarly has solid experience in teaching French writing skills to Francophones and Anglophones at colleges, universities, and governmental institutions. She delivers on-campus training for the program French Writing Skills for Anglophones, as well as for the workshops Français au travail (I & II), Le mot juste, Les anglicismes, and Apprivoiser les règles du participe passé for Francophones.
