A Call to Action: Fundamental Rights and the Notwithstanding Clause

Event Overview

The notwithstanding clause has seen a dramatic resurgence since 2018. Joining locations in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta, this event will be bilingual and truly national in scope. The event will take stock of current debates and controversies, examine Canada’s experience from Indigenous and international perspectives, and look ahead to what Canadians can do to preserve and re-invigorate their fundamental rights in Canada.
