In this one-day course, you will learn communication techniques that will enable you to write specific, relevant, clear and well-structured texts. With good planning, some writing and editing tips, you will be able to write documents that meet your communication objectives, the expectations of your readers and prevent misunderstandings.

This one-day course is intended for communicators who work at scientific or technical organizations, as well as for subject matter experts who are required to write technical documents but are not professional writers.

Caroline Gravel, M. Sc., M.A., has been working as a professional writer and publications manager for more than 20 years. As publications manager, she has led a variety of large projects ranging from complete website overhauls to writing technical guidance in support of government regulations. She facilitates writing workshops at the Professional Development Institute, for the Executive MBA program at the Telfer School of Management, and has taught technical writing at UOttawa’s Département de français.
