Digital wellness is no longer a luxury but imperative for organization performance and employee well-being. This course will introduce participants to the concept of digital wellness in the workplace. It will focus on the four components included in the Digital Flourishing® Wheel that support Digital Wellness in a workplace: Productivity, Communication, Physical and Mental Health.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the concept of Digital Wellness and the factors that impact Digital Wellness at work.
  • Learn about the eight domains included in the Digital Flourishing® Wheel and the impact of technology in each domain.
  • Recognize the positive role technology can play in supporting employees at work and learn how to mitigate any potential harms.
  • Build positive digital practices to support productivity, minimize distractions and communicate effectively.
  • Gain an increased awareness of any behaviours or beliefs that may impede Digital Wellness at work
  • Learn strategies to support Digital Wellness at work in the domains of productivity, communication, physical and mental wellbeing.

Instructor

Nikki Clarke, M.A., RP, PCC, is a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation and has experience working in the public and private sector in Canada and internationally. She has provided one-on-one coaching and facilitated workshops for executives, managers and professionals in the areas of leadership, communication, emotional and social intelligence, coaching, digital wellness, effective management, navigating transitions and stress management. She is a Certified Digital Wellness Educator through the Digital Wellness Institute and is certified to administer and interpret a number of psychometric assessment tools including Lumina Leader, Lumina Leader 360, EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360. She has presented at both provincial and national conferences.
