Description

This course helps participants develop understanding and hands-on ability in network design and defense. This course provides fundamental understanding of data transfer, network technologies and software technologies so that you understand how networks operate, what software is actually automating and how to analyze the subject material.

Prerequisite: IT Essentials

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
  • Explain how end-user devices and local networks interact with the global Internet;
  • Explain the requirements for network connectivity;
  • Build a small network using an integrated network router;
  • Explain the importance of IP addressing.
