Cloud Security Essentials   I 

Overview

In this course participants will learn fundamental cloud security concepts, including AWS, Azure and Google access control, data encryption methods, and how network access can be secured. Learners will develop an understanding of security responsibility in the cloud and the different security-oriented services available.

Prerequisite: Penetration Testing II

 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Articulate the main concepts, key technologies, strengths, and limitations of cloud computing and the possible applications for state-of-the-art cloud computing;
  • Identify the architecture and infrastructure of cloud computing, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and its infrastructure - VMs, Networking, Storage;
  • Explain governance, security, privacy, risk management, regulations, and compliance impacts of an organization’s cloud strategy;
  • Define cloud computing and explain its essential characteristics, history, the business case for cloud, and emerging technologies enabled by cloud.
